It hit 80 degrees today and you know what that means...summer is coming! It was kind of a gross, muggy 80 degrees, but still. Summer is coming. To celebrate, I'm going to join the lovely Mrs. Jump to share with you the Ten Things I want to do this Summer.1. My Sweet Caroline
My Number 1 goal this summer is to spend as much time as possible with this little sweetie. My pride and joy. I know that going back to work in September is going to be hard, so we are going to have lots of fun this summer!
2. Hit the Beach
Most of that time will definitely be spent at this beach!
3. Photograph it All
I've had this beautiful camera for a few years now and I will be putting it to good use with baby girl this summer.
4. Play a Game
I love good old fashioned board games. My brother talks about how he has board game nights at his house all the time. My goal is to host one at my house this summer!
5. Vegas Baby!
I am beyond excited to head to Vegas for the TpT conference in July!! I am looking forward to meeting so many wonderful bloggers and learn from the best!
6. Georgia on my Mind?
Not sure if this one will happen, but I would love to visit my brothers in Atlanta, Georgia. I miss them so much and the city is beautiful place to visit.
7. Hit the Books
My goal is to participate in a few book studies this summer with some other bloggers. First up is Reading in the Wild with The Brown Bag Teacher! I really enjoy reading professionally and hearing others' thoughts on the book. Any other book studies that I should join? Let me know!
8. Smarter than a 5th Grader
This year was my first year in 5th grade and I loved it! Unfortunately, I was only able to be there for half of the school year. I was put on bed rest before my maternity leave. Over the next few months, I plan to really delve into the lessons that I need to teach. Really looking forward to it!
9. A Novel Idea
One of the ways that I plan to get ready for next year, is to read as many 5th grade books as I can get my hands on. If I can find the time, I'll be creating novel units to go along with them! Right now, I am working on a unit for Wonder. Such an amazing book! Any other books you recommend?
10. Shh...it's a Secret
I have some fun things in the works, that I hope will come to fruition. I'm not read to share them quite yet, but I am looking forward to where they might take me!
